Canned beans, the easiest and classiest side dish ever!

Just arrived at the marina after a long day at work? Got a piece of steak or salmon and need something to put next to it? Or just got home from work, way to late to care, but don’t want take out? Cheap. Easy. Delicious.

INGREDIENTS:

  • A splash of olive oil
  • Fresh chilli, or dried chilli flakes
  • Fresh herbs, parsley, or whatever is left over. If not, dried herbs are fine.
  • Garlic, fresh or minced
  • A can of Cannellini beans for every 2 people.

METHOD:

Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, and add the garlic and chilli. If you are using a robust herb like rosemary, then it can go in too. Sauté till soft, then add the beans after draining them. Heat them through then mash with a fork. If using soft herbs, add them now.
